Tirana is a relatively new city founded in 1614 by Mulletis Sulejman Pasha. By the turn o the 18th to the 19th century, the city grew to become Albanias capital. Up to now, most establishments in the city have evidences of the Italian cultural descent. In fact, Italian architects and planners built the citys Main Square after Scanderbeg, their national hero.

Tirana is also the center of economic and political stature in the country. Local attractions in Tirana include the Clock Tower, National Library, National Historical Museum and The National Opera and Ballet Theater. For night life, all you need top do is to look for Blloku within a vegetation area where communist elites formerly lived. The area has a number of pubs, bars, night clubs and cafes.
