All parents should learn how to do kids face painting. Why? Because every child loves to get their face painted.

Let me prove my point.

What comes to mind when you think of summer? I can hear you saying carnivals, fairs, parades, fireworks, barbecues, swimming pools, and all kinds of sports to name a few. Kids love all of these events but which is their most favorite activity? That may be hard to answer but if you throw in face painting then it doesn't matter what the activity is or the location–kids will love it!

What is the most popular booth or activity at a carnival or fair? Well, in my experience the kids face painting booth always has a line. I ran the kids face painting booth during one summer event and it was the only booth that was busy non-stop for the entire event. It seemed like every child came at least once and many came back several times. Kids love many activities but when you add face painting in the mix, you can't go wrong.

Do you see now why every parent needs to learn this one thing? Of course you do, but let me add that you can brighten any kids day by painting a sun with sunglasses, or a football, or a cool insect on their face.

Why do kids and even adults love face painting? Because we all like to feel important. For a small moment in time, kids get to share their face painting with siblings and friends and every other random person that walks by. They become the center of attention–right where they want to be. Who doesn't want to be noticed and admired for a brief moment in time.

Although very popular to do in the summer, face painting can be done any time of year. During cold and rainy days, you can paint cool designs on your kids' faces to brighten their day. Try it sometime with your kids and even invite their friends over for a face painting party. I bet the neighborhood kids will be talking about it for weeks.

Face painting is easy to learn. Just do a search for kids face painting designs or face painting techniques and you'll find all the help that you need to get started.
