Volcanoes can cause destruction to valleys, towns, cities, and islands. It can wipe out an entire valley when one explodes. Tsunamis can be caused due to the eruption of volcanoes and earthquakes and they can cause huge waves that wash over anything they get near. It can cause the ground to shake and tremble which means the volcano is about to explode. People have died because they can not escape the area in time. Volcanoes can cause wildfires as well.

I have been trying to figure out which energy saving lights to get for my home and I came upon some really interesting websites that provided me with the right information to decide on which green bulbs to buy. There were some LED (light-emitting diode) lamps that I saw that were really cool, but they have the bulbs built into them, which makes you have to buy the entire unit. I already have lamps that I absolutely adore so I just needed some bulbs for in my living room. However, a friend of mine was looking for a recycled/natural lamp. And I was able to help her find glass, plastic, metal, felt, cloth and wood ones that were in her price range as well as environmentally friendly.

Are Americans lazy or just poorly informed? In today's world, there are no valid reasons for being poorly informed, only excuses. Our current crop of power holding politicians seem to extol the virtues of being less than interested in learning or gaining greater understanding of the world around us. One of the worst pollutants that is affecting our planet right now is smoke. Smoke from cars, smoke from industries, smoke from fires, and smoke from tobacco. Some are more significant than others, but all of them contribute to the nastiness in the air that we breathe. Some of these sources of smoke are believed to be changing the climate of our world. This is in turn supposedly causing several species of animals to become endangered, humans among them.

Life is easy. On chilly days we turn up the heating, boil the kettle and settle in front of the TV, feeling nice and cosy. But at the back of our minds we all know that our children and grandchildren may end up paying the price for our comforts.
