Don’t You Think Trashers Should Be Trashed?

Wednesday, February 10th, 2010

Yesterday when I was driving along the freeway, a man in the car ahead of me threw a bag of fast-food trash out the passenger window. I gasped, then I raged, then I honked - not a little, hey-you honk. This was a long, in-your-face-from-behind-you honk.

Biker jokes make the best bar jokes

Monday, July 27th, 2009

Biker jokes often make the best bar jokes, especially if told in a bar that bikers frequent as they are the most inclined to laugh at these jokes. People tend to like jokes that are about them, even if they are less than flattering. Most people will not get sore if they are told a joke, especially if it is told in a good natured way.

Comedy and Comedians

Saturday, July 25th, 2009

We have all heard about “laugher being the best medicineâ€. It is so very true. A laugh is welcome anytime. Laughter can do wonders. It helps us forget all our worries even if it is for just a fleeting moment. Laughter brought about by comedy may be something you have read, heard or seen can be really infectious. A tense situation can be altered with a few funny lines. There is possibly nobody on the planet that doesn’t enjoy a good laugh. Who Invented The Vent?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Ever since, however, I've thought someone should reinvent the staple remover.

Are They Minding Their Own Business?

Thursday, July 23rd, 2009

Bratz, the 10-inch, clothes-conscious dolls, are big business. In 2007 they outsold Barbie, which more than upset Barbie's manufacturing mama, Mattel. Not only did the Bratz feature film, games and music albums make Barbie look like just another dumb blond, but the designer who conceived Bratz dolls for MGA Entertainment didn't play nice. He was on Mattel's payroll at the time. Mattel accused MGA of stealing, went to court and was awarded damages of $20 million doll-ars.

The older we get, the more we talk about our health. I talk about yoga and I make myself practice it fifteen minutes every morning. This is meant to make my body more flexible, but there are times when my husband thinks I should be practicing yoga for my mind.

How Can We Put More Heal In Health?

Tuesday, July 21st, 2009

When it comes to plant-based foods, think black. Black foods are especially healthy. Black rice is high in anthocyanin, which fights cardiovascular disease. Black beans are rich in terpenoids, which stop the growth of certain cancers. Black tea is rich in flavonoids, which protect against neurological disease; and blackberries are rich in polyphenols, which help prevent diseases related to chronic inflammation. Then there's the pigment that makes these foods black. It provides antioxidants that also protect our health - and give new meaning to black power.
