Today we'll cover two different topics. First, we talk about whether or not you have to be an expert in your niche before you even begin your Internet business. The answer may be different than you think.
Then we'll talk about article marketing. How is article marketing a viral marketing strategy? Keep reading to find out how you articles are passed around the Internet.
Question #1: Do you have to be an expert in the field you are passionate about before you start your Internet business?
Answer: No, you don't have to be an expert in the field you are passionate about before you start. However, you will become an expert in this field over time. Remember, you don't have to get it right; you just have to get it going.
If you start building a list in a specific niche or field then the people that subscribe to your list will view you as an expert. You have a couple different types of people out there. You have experts and reporters. You can start out as a reporter who reports information to your list which will eventually turn you into an expert.
Question #2: How are articles circulated around on the Internet? How do other people and sites pick up articles?
Answer: Your articles are circulated on the Internet because when you submit your articles to article locations such as ezinearticles there are two types of people that are reading the articles.
The first type of person is reading the article because they are interested in the topic and want to learn more about it or they are passionate about the topic. These people usually only read your article for themselves or they may pass it around to a few close friends.
The second type of person reading your article acts more like a publisher. They might have an ezine, online magazine, offline magazine, or a website that is in your niche. Or they may have a newsletter. All of these items are in constant need of content. So they could use your free information.
Basically, they are allowed to take your information, without changing it, and put it on their website, ezines, etc. The deal is that they have to give you the credit in the article author's bio box. Therefore, your name is plastered all over the Internet on different sites. This is why article marketing is a viral marketing strategy.
Editors of articles locations also scour other article locations looking for articles to post in their own article location. These type of publishers cause your articles to be passed around and published all over the Internet. Therefore, it is very important to have a good bio or resource page in your article to drive people back to your website.
